Preparation, characterisation and in-silico pharmacokinetic profiling of pharmaceutical dosage forms prepared using gums and mucilage extracted from selected orphaned plants in Uganda

Introduction
The project explores the potential of underutilized crops as sustainable sources of natural excipients. With traditional sources like Acacia becoming unsustainable, orphaned plants offer eco-friendly, cost-effective alternatives for pharmaceutical applications. The study will extract gums and mucilages, characterize their properties, formulate solid dispersions, and validate them through in silico pharmacokinetic profiling.
